Our Mission

Functional Action, Incorporated (FAI), founded at the turn of the 21st Century, is dedicated to instructing clinicians to better understand and implement state-of-the-art assessment and therapeutic methods designed to improve human locomotion and the quality of human life.

The locomotor system, the practical descriptor for the actions of the neuromusculoskeletal system, allows humans to move about their environment and also for materials and substances throughout their bodies. FAI courses are designed to allow practitioners to add to their existing clinical knowledge base and expand their skill set through elite educational courses and supplemental aids (DVD’s, books, etc.), in addition to unique rehabilitation supplies.

FAI courses hightlight both international and local academic clinical experts as instructors. Historically the first FAI courses were launched in Redondo Beach, California, with the legendary late Professor Vladimir Janda, an internationally renowned neurologist and physiatrist, providing 3- and 4-day rehabilitation programs.

Founded by President Jana E. Morris, MA, an educator of Czechoslovakian origin and broad international training and experience, FAI provides both eclectic and established academic experiences designed to allow healthcare providers to provide expanded therapeutic strategies to their patients.
